The National Testing Agency has officially declared the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 results, with more than 2.5 lakh students clearing the cutoff for IIT entrance exams.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 results on its official website, www.jeemain.nta.nic.in . Students can log in with their application number and password to access their scorecard and percentile.
A total of 2,50,182 candidates have qualified for JEE Advanced 2026, which determines admission to India’s prestigious IITs. The general category cutoff this year stands at 93.4123549 percentile — the highest in four years — reflecting the growing competition among engineering aspirants.
Over 11 lakh candidates registered for Session 2, making it one of the most competitive engineering entrance exams in India’s history. Andhra Pradesh has performed exceptionally well, with students like Pasala Mohith and Thunga Durga Suprabhath achieving a perfect 100 percentile. Arnav Gautam had earlier scored a perfect 300 out of 300 in Session 1. The NTA used a normalisation process to ensure fairness across different exam shifts, and 2 questions were dropped from one shift, with bonus marks awarded to those candidates.
Students who qualify will now move towards JoSAA counselling for seat allotment in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded institutes.
————————————————————————————————————————————————–What’s Next: JEE Advanced registration is expected to open shortly. Qualified students should keep documents ready and monitor the official JoSAA portal for counselling dates and notifications.
