PM Modi honours Sardar Patel on Unity Day with bold calls for national solidarity

On Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a touching tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the famous Statue of Unity in Gujarat. This was to honor Patel’s 150th birthday and to show that the country is still committed to national unity.

At the Statue of Unity, people celebrate unity

Thousands of people came to the Statue of Unity to see the ceremony, which included a big parade, cultural exhibitions, and a mass promise to India’s unity and integrity.

Modi led the tribute, which stressed Patel’s role in bringing together more than 550 princely kingdoms to form modern India.

Vision, watchfulness, and legacy

Modi stressed in his speech that the country must not have any attitudes or acts that damage national unity. He stated that the day was important because it was about protecting sovereignty and that the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” had to spread throughout the country.

He also talked about what he called past mistakes in administration that hurt India’s internal unity, notably in places like Kashmir.

What it implies for people

The message of the day is that togetherness isn’t simply a show; it needs everyone to take part. The message is clear: national power rises when individuals stand together. This can be done by supporting local diversity, taking part in community programs, or just respecting differences. Modi said that everyone had to do their part to protect the country’s integrity.
